Waste Heat Recovery (WHR)

In a strategic partnership, PENTA and Transparent Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd. (TESPL) are working together to provide Power Generation Systems by recuperating heat from off-gases in the cement and lime industries throughout the Americas.

This technology is particularly appealing to plants that have:

  • High electric power costs
  • Unreliable power supply (interruptions or voltage dips)
  • Low raw material and high coal moisture levels
  • An inefficient process where waste gas quantity and temperatures are high
WHR

PENTA and TESPL, together, are ready to evaluate the available waste heat from operating plants and estimate the power generation potential from waste gases. Based on this, TESPL will be able to offer a complete power plant system, tailor-made for the specific application. Benefits will vary depending on the size and type of the plant, location and the prevailing power rates.

The significance of a Waste Heat Recovery based power plant cannot be overemphasized:

  • Converts the heat from the waste gases to useful electrical energy
  • Generates quality power with minimal interruptions
  • Earns carbon-credits for lowering power requirements from the grid
