CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
We are looking for experienced construction managers for field assignments. Our jobs range from 3-8 months in the field. We offer challenging work coupled with great benefits, true professionals and a great company to work for.
You will be responsible for the overall leadership and on-site field administration managing timeline, budget, change orders of a large-scale, industrial plant or facility. Prior work in industrial construction is a plus.
Required experience:
- Construction Management: 3 years in heavy industrial environment

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Summary
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the schedule, budget, and scope of work, delivering excellent results and meeting the client’s expectations while achieving PENTA’s business objectives.
Competencies

Primary Functions
- Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical execution of multiple or large-scale projects.
- Assists in the preparation of proposals to the client: interacts with Chief Engineer to develop project scope, selection of team members, development of competitive pricing and preliminary schedule.
- After project award, creates a Project Procedures Manual; develops the project schedule; defines the project organization by working with department managers and manager of branch offices to identify required resources; establishes staffing requirements, communicates project objectives and budgetary requirements to the project team, executes project work plans and makes revisions to meet changing project needs and requirements.
- Acts as liaison between the client and designers, engineers and other team members; identifies problems and resolves issues in an efficient and timely manner.
- Manages the project budget; tracks and reports project revenue, labor costs and expenses. Responsible for timely and accurate invoicing.
- Travels domestically and internationally.
Education, Licenses and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural or Electrical)
- PE preferred or pursuit of PE
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering and leadership/supervisory role in industrial plants
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD; Microsoft Project. Good understanding of process calculation software

Summary:
The Electrical Power Engineer will be responsible for power distribution design, controls, and instrumentation.
Competencies
- Experience in medium and low voltage distribution systems in heavy process industries.
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance systems.
- Familiar with safety guidelines related to industrial plant power distribution.
- Knowledge of computer applications such as AutoCad, Revit, SKM Power tools.
- Good communication skills.
Primary Functions:
- Configures, programs, and sets up GE Multilink Protective Relays or equivalent for medium voltage (5kV) feeder, transformer, and motor protection.
- Configures, programs, and commissions Allen-Bradley automation equipment including, legacy, CONTROLLOGIX, PLCs, PanelView operator interfaces, Factory Talk View HMI, and VFDs.
- Conducts field checkout and startup of electrical systems, equipment, and instrumentation, including commissioning support for process and mechanical equipment.
- Prepares logic diagrams to facilitate automation programming.
- Performs Energy Audits.
- Implements a PLC based process control and instrumentation package.
Education, Licenses and/or Experience (Requirements)
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering; M.S. preferred
- P.E. registration
- NCEES Professional Engineer Certification preferred
- 10+ years’ design engineering experience

SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Competencies

Primary Functions
- Familiar with Building Codes, Structural Specialty Codes, and reference codes pertaining to wood, concrete, masonry, and steel.
- Reviews primary layout of structural framing schemes and discusses alternatives and the pros and cons of each with designers prior to framing layout.
- Experience in Revit to design and produce drawings, Excel software to prepare schedules, charts, reports, etc.
- Reviews all drawings compared to reference drawings from vendor, existing structures drawings by others or general arrangement drawings and other structural drawings.
- Reviews drawing layout, dimensions, and details.
- Interacts with Project Manager, Chief Structural Engineer and Project team regarding work status and progress of the work.
- Experienced in earthworks, foundation designs, concrete and Steel superstructures, underground services, steel trusses, towers, pipe racks and supports, steel bins and concrete silos, stacks.
- Interacts with all disciplines, assists in proposal preparation. Field inspection work.
- Stays informed about new technology and advancements in the field to keep abreast of new developments, methods, and procedures.
- Responsible for schedules and budgets as lead engineer.
Education, Licenses and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
- PE and/or SE preferred
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience
- Master of Science Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering preferred
Other Credentials, Aptitude, Knowledge and Qualifications (Requirements)
- Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Revit software, 3D structural modeling analysis programs and drawing preparation
