Tackling complex distribution terminal & logistics projects are some of PENTA’s specialties. We designed and built this distribution terminal in the Northwestern region of the U.S. This project was completed on an EPC (Engineering/Procurement/Construction) basis. The system consists of two storage silos with rail unloading and truck loading capacity.

  • Property required special designs due to its odd shape – 200 ft. wide x 2500 ft. long.
  • Only 125 ft. wide was usable space. (The railroad needed 25 ft. of clearance, 25 more ft. for a new rail line, and our designs had to be 25 ft. from power lines.)
  • Weather conditions were so cold we had to rent heaters to heat the ground to keep construction running on schedule.
  • Roads had to be designed to accommodate over-sized trucks with pup trailers. The scale had to accommodate the larger trucks as well.

PENTA completed the front end engineering design and final engineering design for all systems.

PENTA Engineering Company’s core competencies lie in engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, environmental, and process specifically for the mining, industrial minerals, and cement industries.
