“My name is Corey Stefanic, and I am entering my senior year in Civil and Architectural Engineering at the Missouri University of Science & Technology. Working with PENTA Industrial Corporation has provided me with the foundation I need to start building a strong career after I graduate.
Being a Structural Engineering Intern at PENTA Industrial Corporation for the past two summers has been an invaluable working experience. PENTA Engineers are masters of the industry and working with them has exposed me to various elements of engineering that I could not have dreamed of seeing inside the classroom.
At PENTA I have worked closely with the process of structuring cement and lime plants, and have performed many diverse tasks such as estimating rebar quantities, performing beam analyses to determine which type of beams to use in a structure, and helping to build plant models in Revit, a leading Structural Engineering BIM software. I have even had the opportunity to visit a cement plant that often contracts PENTA to do regular structural consulting and maintenance.
I came back to PENTA for a second summer because even as an Intern, I am expected to complete tasks that will have a real impact on the world and have yet to be assigned to a single coffee run. The employees of PENTA are diligent workers who consistently meet their deadlines but still keep a complaisant atmosphere in the work place. To anyone looking for a group of smart, well-trained consultants and engineers, look no further than PENTA.”
